Off the Beaten Track - Snowdonia's River of Gold

Off the Beaten Track - Snowdonia's River of Gold

This DVD is an enticing guide to Walking off the beaten track, showing you some of the marvellous scenery in the southern Snowdonia area. Complete with a 14 page circular route guide.

In this first DVD we join Ian Coppack and Juliet Molyneux as they follow the River Mawddach in southern Snowdonia. They walk from its source on beautiful and remote moorland near Bala Lake to where it flows out into Cardigan Bay at Barmouth.

This new walking route has been designed by Cross Country Films. It is 22 miles long and is only now possible thanks to the new Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (CROW Act) which has opened up many areas of upland Britain making them available for public recreation for the very first time.

The scenery is beautiful and along the way we meet people living and working within it. They tell their own stories bringing alive the rivers rich history and diverse wildlife.
